Hello! This is the very last post I will ever make on my Art 101 class! These are the last sessions we did of the semester and I won’t have anything left to post about after this one.
I am also changing the format of my posts and posting schedule, so this was about to come to a close anyways. I’m super excited to change things up and hopefully it’ll help my blog grow even more! Anyways, onto the post.
For these sessions, we first had to make a planar study of our face. That basically means figuring out where hypothetical planes would be on our face and sketching those in to make it more simple than curving lines and contours.

I really don’t think my planar study came out very well. I have had a lot of people who haven’t seen the reference say its really good, which is understandable. I do know I need to practice this, like every other thing I’ve done in this class.
By itself, the planar study isn’t that bad. It reminds me of some contemporary art or whatever they call it where people do similar things, and also old masks that look similar to it. I’m not disgusted when I look at it, so it can’t be that bad, right?

The next session was drawing a self portrait. My grade was really, really good and I didn’t want to do the last session anyways, so I didn’t do it. I don’t regret my decision even though it was a very hard one to make at the time.
Anyways, that’s the end of this super short post since I have nothing left to talk about haha. I think this class helped me a lot and also helped me see my own weaknesses and strengths.
Thank you all so much for reading my last art blog post for a while, and I appreciate every single one of you! I’ll see you guys in the next one!

P.S. Here are the last pictures of Jack for a while. I include these at the end of every Art 101 post that I make, just because I love him so much.
