Ambulance – Future Trips

Hello! I have been thinking a lot about what trips I want to take first in the ambulance, and while there is no definite favorite or first trip that I am going to take, I wanted to share a few ideas I had. I took these screenshots from Google Maps, and drew the route I would like to take. Of course, these are not exact or the routes I will end up taking when I do go on these trips.

If you’d like this content to be in another format, check out my YouTube channel! I post every Thursday over there.

The first is a National Park road trip across the USA. I would love to include the Alaskan National Parks as well, but I’ll get to that part later.

I have been to two National Parks so far, Zion and Yosemite, and both of them were amazing. Zion had amazing mountains and scenery to hike in, and I would love to get to experience that again. I visited Yosemite right after a big snow storm, which just made it all the more beautiful. Everything was covered in snow and all of the waterfalls and rivers were very active. I would go on this same exact trip again if I could.

I know that most, if not all, of the other National Parks are as beautiful as these, so I think it would be amazing to travel to all of them in a single, long road trip. I imagine this trip would take several months, since there are 55 National Parks, not including Alaska’s 8. If I wanted to spend a week in each park, that would be over a year!

The second trip I would love to take is an Alaska trip. About half of this trip would be getting to Alaska from Nevada, but I think that is part of the fun.

I have always had an interest in Alaska, but haven’t been able to go yet. Alaska is so large that I don’t think I will ever explore to my heart’s content, but I might as well try.

Alaska has such beautiful scenery, and great outdoor activities to do. Fairbanks is also an amazing place to watch the Northern Lights, and I’ve never seen those either haha. I would love to get a taste of everything the state has to offer in that regard, and road tripping around the state for a few months at least seems like an ideal situation.

Alaska also has 8 National Parks that I would like to visit, so that would definitely be on the itinerary as well. This could possibly be a continuation of the National Park trip.

This route would also take me through Canada, and I have never been there either. I honestly have no idea what the scenery of Canada is like, except cold, so I am really looking forward to that part of the trip as well.

Of course, this would also be a very long trip, since the drive just up to Alaska from Nevada is about 60 hours. That would probably be split up into at least 7 days of driving, and I want to explore on my way there, so even longer.

I would expect the trip up there to take close to a month, the trip back to take close to a month, and I would like to spend a few months just in Alaska, so a total of maybe 6 months for this trip.

Additionally, I do think I would like to live in Alaska for a little bit for fun, and get a job there, but that won’t be for a while. I think I would really enjoy that.

The third trip that I would love to take is a West Coast road trip, where I just drive up the coast, or as close as possible, all the way from San Diego to the top of Washington.

I have never been to either Oregon or Washington, but I have seen how beautiful they are. Also, the northernmost place I have been in California is Sacramento, and even then we were there for a music festival, so did not get to see a lot of the scenery or explore a lot.

I know that the Pacific Coast Highway in California is exceptionally beautiful and I would love to drive it again. There are also many places to stop for the night, such as campgrounds, where I could sleep.

Being around the ocean is one of my favorite things, and since I live in the middle of the desert, I do not get many chances to visit it. This would also give me great opportunities to surf, which I have not done in years, and explore tide pools, which I love. I also love exploring little towns, of which the coast has many.

The fourth and final road trip that I want to talk about is an East Coast trip. I haven’t been to the East Coast in several years, and I was too young to appreciate the scenery or landmarks then.

The places I have been to are Boston, New York, and Boca Raton, Florida. I was in New York for a school trip several years ago, and went with my grandmother to Florida and Boston when I was much younger.

This means that I have not explored or seen most of this route either, like the West Coast trip. There’s so much just on the coast to explore that I would also want to spend at least 6 months traveling this route.

I really do not know much about the East Coast that I can write about here, which just makes me all the more excited to discover it for myself for the first time when I’m on the trip!

Thinking about how much time these trips are all going to take makes me feel a little bit like I will never have enough time for everything, which I won’t, but that’s okay.

Thank you so much for reading! I post every Monday and Thursday on the blog and every Thursday on my YouTube channel! I’ll see you guys in the next one.

  1. I started writing a reply then realized I can’t do it under “comment”. Too complicated. Now I have to start over. 🫤  your grandmother took you to Key West, too. There wasn’t enough time to explore much, but it’s a very interesting place with interesting people. Plus you Get the ritual of watching the sun go down in the water in the lowest point in the U.S.!  One time when I was there, I heard music, and walked into a place. I could have stayed there all day listening to it. Great music. The whole town is a casual place. The West coast is a great trip, but you have to make sure you’re not there when it’s foggy. You can check out those things. And Alaska has always fascinated me too, but again, you need to watch the time of year.  Driving on frozen roads is not fun.
