Hello! Welcome back to another catching up blog post! This will be the last catching up post I will be making, and after that I will be posting new content once a week here! If you’d like to watch the longform video you can click here.
This is about our third road trip during the summer when we expected to have very warm and sunny weather for our drive, but that turned out to not be the case. This was one of the only times that I did not check the weather beforehand, and it only backfired a little.
About an hour and a half outside of Vegas, we started seeing a lot of snow on the mountains and very gloomy clouds. We started to get an inkling of what was about to happen at this point, as the snow on the ground kept increasing the longer we drove.
It started raining eventually, and got harder and harder until it started snowing. It snowed for a long time on our drive, and this was actually only the second time I have ever seen snow fall for anywhere as long.
We passed two cars on the side of the road that had been in an accident, but we couldn’t pull over to help as we would have gotten stuck in the mud. We later saw an ambulance going that direction to help them.
Later in the drive, we encountered some hail which was also really interesting. The ambulance has never driven in snow or hail since I bought it, and I was super happy with how it drove. We didn’t have any issues with it and that really makes me look forward to some future snowy trips.
I’d love to live somewhere in the future that has more frequent snow, maybe once a year. In Las Vegas, where I grew up, it only really snows about once every 10 years, which is a bit too infrequent for me. Who knows, maybe if I experience the snow enough now, I might change my mind again. I do really enjoy the snow when it happens though.
Thank you so much for reading my blog post! If you’d like to watch the longform video, you can watch it here. I’ll see you guys in the next one!
