What My Art is About

For the longest time in my relatively short life span, I could not imagine myself creating any kind of good art, or even really wanting to practice enough to get myself there. However, in the beginning of quarantine in March, I began to realize my burning desire to create things. On social media, I was starting to be exposed to all kinds of people making all kinds of things, which really started to inspire me to do whatever I wanted with my life, mainly make art that I want to make.

I began seeing small brands making their own street clothes, and small brands creating their own products and merch and artwork and photography and really making a lot of money off of it. Since I will be living in a van in the near future, this seems like the perfect plan to make money on the road, especially if I can become good enough, enough of myself, to actually make a living out of my art. Of course, there are also several other ways that I plan on making money, which I talk about in a seperate blog post.

Recently, I have gained a much larger appreciation for people who create art, any kind of art, and I realized that I could do the same thing.

The message that I am trying to convey with my art is basically life is short, and live it however you want to. There are so many inspirational speeches and articles of literature out there about becoming your best self and not caring what people think about you, how you dress, or how you act. The art I create is for people who truly do not care what other people think, and do things because they want to, and not on anybody else’s decision. There are so many small brands doing this same thing that I want to support in the very near future, and I love it.

Thank you so much for reading my post and supporting me through my journey!
