Why I Want To Live in a Van

    The main reason I want to live in a van at this point in my life is to go to music festivals. I really enjoy them, and I see no reason that I cannot focus on what I enjoy most in life for a few years. If I was living in a house or an apartment, travel costs would be much more than I might be willing to pay along with my rent or my morgatge. Festivals is what originally drew me to the idea of living in a van, and this would also really be useful when festivals have camping available, and I could just basically bring my entire house.

     Another reason I want to live in a van is money. While living in a van, the only expenses I will have to take care of are insurance, phone bill, food, and gas. If I was not living in a van, and was living in a house instead, I would also have to pay a morgatge on top of that. Even though I will own a house while I am living in my van, there will usually be someone renting it out and paying for the morgatge while I am on the road.

     I also think that living in a van will be a good exercise in both living alone and living minimally. I have wanted to cut down on my waste and my material belongings for a while, so this will hopefully really help force me into doing that. I will really have no choice but to live off of only a few things and I won’t have much storage space for trash or anything like that, so hopefully it will make me a lot more mindful about cutting down on my waste.

I have been watching a lot of videos to see if living in a van will actually work out for me and if I will like it or not, and I really do think that it will be a good decision for me. Especially since I really want to see more of the world without having to pay that much for hotel rooms and other expenses like that, which I will not have when I am living in a van, this definitely seems like the right decision for where I am right now in my life.
