Hello! Thank you all so much for voting on what kind of blog post this is! I had an increase from 3 votes last week to 9 votes this week. A majority of the people who voted chose the option of plans I have for art projects in the future, so that is what this post will be about! 🙂
I am going to label every section, so you can pick and choose what you want to read.
Resin

I really want to get back into making more things out of resin, since I just got a lot of new molds and I got a gallon of new resin. I have a lot of cool plans in mind for all of these. I have received and bought several miniature things that I plan on putting into resin things, such as flowers or ashtrays, that I think will greatly increase the value of my resin art. I also think it would be a cool idea to start coating some of my paintings in both clear resin and resin that has a little bit of sparkle in it.
Even though I know this will turn out pretty well, I am still nervous about it because I spend so much time on each of my paintings that I do. However, I really want to branch out in my art and things that I create, so this will be coming very soon. I plan on making my mother a dark pink rose with crushed up rose petals inside of it, and I also want to put some small magnets in it for her. She told me that she wants to put it wherever she wants, and to put magnets in anything I make out of resin for her.
Another super cool idea I have for the resin is to make tiny sculptures out of gold or silver wire like tiny trees or faces to put into the resin. I think this would be a super unique look and I am really excited to see how it finally turns out. This is one of the things I am most excited to experiment with in the category of resin!
I will also be posting pictures of all of the things I make out of resin in a post, and also uploading them to the new site page at this link: https://baileymchatton.com/resin-pictures/
Painting

Going along with that, I would also like to do a lot more painting than I have been recently. I really enjoy painting and I like the result when I am done with it. I have also recently bought about 50 new canvases to use for whatever I want and I am really excited to use new sizes and come up with new ideas for all of them. There is a lot of paint that I have that I have never used that I would like to challenge myself to use, which I think could be a lot of fun.
Additionally, for Christmas, my mother got me a set of spray paint and I really want to experiment with those. I have recently painting a skateboard with them, just the background, and I really like how it turned out and I think there are a lot of cool ideas I can come up with using spray paint.
I also have a few places in mind that already have a ton of spray paint on them that have been abandoned for years that I might experiment with larger spaces for this kind of art. I plan on finishing a big painting that I have started recently, and another one that I abandoned a long time ago. I have a difficult time finishing things once I start them, because the excitement usually wears off after a certain amount of time after starting the project. I want to stop this habit, and I want to finish these paintings that I was so excited about starting in the past.
I will be posting all of the pictures of things I have painted as I upload them at this link: https://baileymchatton.com/pictures-of-everything/painting-pictures/ I will be adding more site pages once I start using more mediums!

Dioramas
Another thing I have very recently become very interested in making is dioramas. I have only made a few of these in my entire life, and they have all taken place in elementary school. Since these were always really bad in quality due to my young age and lack of experience, I never really thought about them as something I could improve upon and make much cooler until now.
I have been very intrigued by the concept of catacombs for a long time. Therefore, it was only natural for the idea of a catacombs diorama to eventually pop into my head. I would like to do this very soon, because I know it can turn out really cool, and I have a lot of interesting ideas for materials and scenes I can make within them.
I also think it would be super cool to make dioramas of natural landscapes such as forests, deserts, and mountains. It would improve my ability to judge distance and scale, and would also help me gradually improve skills I use while painting. This is one of the most abitious things I want to do in the very near future, so I want to make it happen very soon.
For this section of the post, I do not have any pictures to post because I have not started working on this yet! However, once I get start on it in the very near future, I will be posting pictures!
Sewing my Own Clothes

Even though I never ever thought I would want to sew or anything like that, I now own a sewing machine of my own. I originally only planned to alter things and create things on top of clothes that were already put together. It was not until recently that I realized I could sew my own clothes, and that I could probably get really good at it. Then, there would be no need for me to buy clothes that are already made to create things on top of, because I could just create the garment how I want it from the beginning.
Another reason this became apparent to me was because for Christmas, I sewed a bunch of small bags for tiny things that I gifted people, and also slightly bigger bags for the coupon books I made. I will be talking about the coupon books in a seperate post eventually.
The first thing I will be sewing will be a two-tone bright yellow tank top from two very large shirts that I recently got from Saver’s. I am really excited for this and I am super excited to wear it, since I can make it however I want to. I would also like to make several other tank tops in all of the colors of the rainbow, and by the end of all these, I think I will be much better at sewing my own clothes. Eventually, I hope to create custom clothes for people however they want them, with my own twist on them.
Painting Clothes

Over the past couple of months, I have bought and found a ton of clothes that I have nice ideas to paint. However, I eventually found interest in other things, like painting with different mediums and making things out of resin. I would really like to get back into painting clothes because it was a lot of fun and I think it would be super cool to see someone wearing something I painted. I have a lot of cool ideas for the items that I already have, and I would definitely like to start working on at least one piece a week to sell.
Painting clothes generally takes less time than painting a canvas, because the designs are typically more simple, so this would be a nice break from painting a canvas for days and days. I would also like to start making my own clothes to paint, but only for myself at first since I do not trust myself to sew clothes for other people yet.
This is another thing that I was super excited about in the beginning, but then lost interest in as other, newer mediums came into my life and then I got excited about those. I have neglected the clothes I have already bought to paint, and I need to get back into it so I do not burn out with other mediums as quickly. I want to always be working on a variety of things at one time so I never become bored and don’t work on anything.
I will definitely be starting to paint clothes again, and every time I mention it or finish a piece, I will be posting pictures on here for you guys to see!
Sculpting and Carving
The last thing that I would like to talk to all of you about is my interest in both sculpting and carving. I have recently been very interested in stone carvings, and I would really like to try and see if I am any good at it at this point in my art career. I would really love to go straight into carving marble, but I think I should definitely start with some sculpting with clay before I move into expensive stone that I cannot undo any mistake in. Clay is much easier to work with, but I really want to start carving soon.
There are many things I still have yet to learn about both of these things, but I am really looking forward to futhering my art career and the mediums that I can work with.
Since I do not have much experience in this area and materials are expensive, I will probably not be doing any carving for a while. However, I would like to start using Skillshare to try and learn more about both things before I just dive into using materials and going off of the minimal experience I have right now.
Conclusion
This is the end of the upcoming art project post, but I am sure there will be more in the future! Now, unfortunately, there will not be a poll for next week, but I will put up a poll for the week after that. Here is the link for that: https://strawpoll.com/bbd9vqfrs The reason there will not be a poll this week is because I recently realized that there was a post that I wrote a few months ago that I did not keep track of and I never posted it! So, I will be posting it next Wednesday, and I really hope you guys end up liking it!
Thank you all so much for reading my blog post, voting in my polls, and supporting my journey! I will see you guys on Friday!

Hell yeah!
