Resin Ashtray Pictures – Pink and Purple Ink Ashtray with Crushed Rose Petals

Hello! This is the second Valentine’s Day themed ashtray I have made for the holiday! There are five total, and the other 3 are coming within a week! I really love making these because they give me an outline of what to make, and then I can be creative with actually making it. This one did not turn out at all how I had expected it to, but I still really love how it looks.

This is a pink and purple ashtray and I used alcohol inks to color the resin for these, and I love how the colors turned out. In the beginning of pouring this, I put each color in a different corner in order to get a nice, unique, checkered look to my ashtray, but the purple sunk below the pink, so now it looks like it just has layers. I also crushed up a few pink rose petals to put in the bottom, and I am not sure if I like how that part turned out or not.

I really enjoy using the alcohol inks in the resin, but I will have to get better at it. I think that the purple would not sink if I put the same small amount of ink into both colors, but I am not sure. I will have to experiment with this to see if this actually works. If that does not work, I will have to resort to watching YouTube or SkillShare videos to figure out another way to not get them to separate. If nothing works, I will only be doing layers of inky resin.

This is for sale! If you live in Las Vegas, this would be $15, and if I have to ship it to you, it would be $20. If you have any questions or want to buy it, please send me a message on my contact page, send me an email, DM me on my Instagram account, or send me a message on my Depop!

If you would like a custom ashtray, the general pricing for just color and glitter in my medium to small molds would be $15 locally in Vegas, and $20 if I am shipping it to you. This would be $5 extra if I am using a larger mold, since it takes more resin to make. The general pricing for color, glitter, and flowers or a picture or whatever else you want me to put in it would be $20 locally in Vegas, and $25 if I am shipping it to you. If you would like me to add a magnet in the bottom or the sides, that would be $5 extra. If you wanted something that had more stuff than this, the pricing varies.

    1. Thank you so much! I really love this one, but it is not my favorite! I never used to like the color pink, but I really like it now, especially when it is this super vivid hue! I’m super excited to start working on the Easter ashtrays as well 🙂

    1. Thank you so much! That sounds really nice if there were gold flakes in it! I would really love to do some work with gold shavings, but I’m not sure where to start yet! Maybe I can find some SkillShare videos on how to do it!
