Life Update #3

Hello! I would just like to start this post off by saying how much I appreciate every single one of you. If you have been here since the beginning, or just started reading my posts, thank you so much for your support of my journey through life. I appreciate it more than you know.

This is another life update post to keep everyone up to date with what is going on with me. The main points that I will be talking about in this post are the plan for my blog in the future, the organization in my life, purging things, and my art plans and skills.

Blog Plan

As you probably already know, I have been posting every day of February. I hope to continue this throughout a few more months, and maybe beyond that if I am up to it at the time. I really love putting all of this content out into the universe, and I think it has really been helping my blog grow as well.

The current schedule for posts is as follows:

    Sunday: Resin/Art Picture Post

     Monday: Resin/Art Picture Post

     Tuesday: Music Tuesday Post

Wednesday: Picked by a Poll Post

     Thursday: Resin/Art Picture Post

     Friday: Series Post

     Saturday: Resin/Art Picture Post

Bonus Post at the end of every month

This schedule has been working very well for me, and I think it will work pretty well until the end of February. However, I am running out of series posts to make, and I am also running out of options to put on my polls. I am going to try really hard to brainstorm more of these, since I love writing them. If you have any suggestions for these kinds of posts, please leave a comment for me! I would love your input on what kind of posts you guys would like to see.

Eventually, I know that I will be doing enough things to come up with new options for a post every Wednesday, but I have not been doing anything new recently. I would love to start getting into new kinds of art or make progress on my van, but that will take a while.

Also, I might end up replacing the series posts on Friday with more Resin/Art Posts, and then once a month posting a promotion of another artist. I would love to start featuring other small creators on my website so we can both be promoted, and if you have any suggestions of people who may want to write a blog post to be featured on my blog, please leave a comment to let me know!

So, all in all, I would like to keep posting one post a day, and I want to put more effort into them. If you have any suggestions for the things I mentioned, please let me know!

    Organization

I have been trying really hard to incorporate more organization into my life recently. Whenever I do a load of laundry, I am trying to put it away that same day. When I take out things in my room, I am trying my best to put them away right after I am done using them.

For my whole life, I have had a problem doing these kinds of things. However, I am almost an adult now and I think that I need to take more responsibility for the things I am doing and more quickly clean up after myself. Plus, I have a lot of art supplies now that are all over the place that could use a lot of organization. It would really help if I kept on top of these things when I was done using them, instead of doing a big organization after a long period of time.

I think that keeping organized really makes me feel better about my space and also encourages me to be a lot more productive. I love having a clean space, and I think I just need to start being more responsible with the things that I have. This will be a really big step in my life, since I think it will basically change my whole life if I am prepared to be more organized in all areas of my life.

Currently, I am very organized in my planning of blog posts and writing them, but that is really the only area of my life that I am organized in right now. It is difficult for me to focus on more than one thing at a time, so having more than one category of my life organized at one time will be a challenge. However, I am willing to take that challenge on.

Besides, I will be living in a van in the soon future, so I will always have to keep my things organized in there. It is going to be such a small space that I don’t think I can put any organization off for very long without feeling chaotic and not productive at all. I think that preparing myself to be completely organized now will help me keep my things together in my van as well.

Purging

Another thing that I have been getting more into lately is purging things. This means getting rid of things I do not need anymore, such as pictures, text conversations, contacts, clothes, material things, etc. I have done this once before, when I painted and completely changed around my room last year. I got rid of about half of my things, and I cannot remember a single thing I got rid of.

Getting rid of things is good for me for two reasons. If I get rid of things, both digital and physical, I will feel less cluttered and will be able to feel more productive more frequently. Also, I am going to be living in a van in the near future, which means I will have a very limited amount of storage for things that are not completely necessary.

I have already spent hours getting rid of things I no longer need on my phone, and I do not think I will ever look back. If I have never even looked at them after all this time, why would I be looking at them in the future? Especially pictures and conversations that happened years ago that I will never even need to look at.

Over the past year, even though I have gotten rid of about half of my clothing, I have somehow acquired more clothing, almost as much as I had before the first purge. I want to start purging my clothes again, because I only really wear a select few items daily, and I really hate doing so much laundry when I wear so many things.

I would much rather have less clothes and have to do laundry more often instead of doing laundry every once in a while and having to do several loads. This is also what living in a van will be like, since I will not have much storage for anything at all, let alone clothes that I don’t even like to wear.

In the future, I hope that I can get rid of most of my things. I would like to live a life that is not based around the material things I have, but the experiences I have and the people I meet. I do not want to rely on material things to make me happy at any point in my life.

Art and Skills

At this point in my life, I am just starting to get into all types of new things in my art career. I want to try out every single new thing I find, and this is not very conducive to me being consistent with the type of art I am putting out for sale. However, I am going to try and increase my skills in both painting and resin more often, and I would like to make sure that I am also trying new things at the same time.

I have a lot of inspiration for new kinds of resin things, and I am really excited to try those. My art has been getting a lot better since the beginning, and I am really excited to start doing new things with it. I hope that you all are as excited as I am for this chapter in my life.

This is the end of the third life update! I really hope you guys enjoyed learning about what is going on in my life right now, and I hope you all stick around for the new and exciting things that are coming to the blog!

Thank you so much for reading my blog post and supporting my journey! I appreciate all of you!

P.S. If you would like a custom ashtray, the general pricing for just color and glitter in my medium to small molds would be $15 locally in Vegas, and $20 if I am shipping it to you. This would be $5 extra if I am using a larger mold, since it takes more resin to make. The general pricing for color, glitter, and flowers or a picture or whatever else you want me to put in it would be $20 locally in Vegas, and $25 if I am shipping it to you. If you would like me to add a magnet in the bottom or the sides, that would be $5 extra. If you wanted something that had more stuff than this, the pricing varies.

    1. Thank you so much! Posting every day is a lot of work, but I think it is worth it to get content out there and grow my blog as fast as I can! I’m super excited to start working on all of these things and I love that I get to tell people about them through my blog, so I’m super glad you like hearing about them. I should do more painting work soon, so I can do more painting posts. I would really love to start working with oil paints soon as well. Thank you for commenting!

  2. I applaud your commitment to organization, and your insight into self. I’ve always felt that a neat house or area makes me feel better, and also makes me feel more like doing other projects! Keep up the good work!
