Painting Pictures – Forest Planet Painting 8×10

Hello! I painted this a while ago, but I am only now getting around to posting it! The pictures that are in this post are pretty bad, but I will be updating them to better quality pictures later in the day.

I started painting this months ago, but only ended up finishing the background at the time. The original plan for this canvas was to paint stars in the sky, plants on the ground, and trees in the yellow part. I liked how the three colors looked together, mainly because it was not a gradient like I usually make.

If you ever want to see these pictures again, they will be uploaded on my Painting Pictures page that you can access at the top of the webpage in the menu. I am going to try and update all of my pictures very soon!

This is the finished painting for now! I love how it turned out, but I’m not sure if it is done yet or not.

Between painting the background and the foreground, I had started to paint pine trees on top of watercolor backgrounds, so this is what I ended up doing in the yellow section. I also decided against stars in the sky for right now, and did white planets instead. In the future, I might add some stars and dots in the sky to make it look more detailed, but I might save that for a future painting.

For the plants on the ground, I did not really know what to do. I have never been great at making plants look realistic or anything, and this is no exception. I wanted to make some nice grass with some nice flowers, but they ended up looking not that realistic like I wanted them to. I want to learn how to do this a lot better in the future and I’m looking forward to watching videos about how to improve on this.

Here is an angled side view of this painting. I really love how it turned out and I love the colors that I used!

If you have any suggestions on how to make my painting better, or links for me to go to, please leave them in the comments because I love hearing from you guys and I need all the help I can get.

I have had this new idea recently to make an abstract line along the edges of my canvases, so I tried that out with this painting. I covered most of the edge with a coat of black paint, filled a tiny squeeze bottle full of shiny silver paint, and went to town. I really love how this part came out, and I’m really excited to do it again on more paintings. I think this would be a really nice touch to a lot of my paintings and it would make them more complex and unique.

This line on the edges is raised, so you can feel it when you run your finger over it. I love this added touch and I think it adds a lot to the piece. I’m super excited to do this for other paintings in more colors and styles! I also want to do an entire canvas like this because I think it would look really cool.

This painting is for sale! If you are local to Las Vegas, it would be $20, and if I have to ship it to you, it would be an extra $4.25 for shipping. I would really love to see this in someone’s home in it’s natural habitat! If you would like to buy this, please send me an email, leave a comment, send me a DM on Instagram, or send me a message on my contact page!

If you would like a custom painting similar to the ones I have put up on my blog, I can definitely do that for you! Depending on the complexity of the painting and shipping, it would be between $20 and $30! I would love to paint custom things for people and see my art where it belongs!

I have made a few logo paintings, a few abstract paintings, and a couple paintings like this recently! I love making all of these kinds of paintings, but if you have another idea of a painting I could do for you, please let me know so we can talk about it!

Thank you so much for reading my blog post and supporting my journey! I appreciate it more than you think, and I would love it if you decided to share any of my blog posts or my blog as a whole because it really helps me out!

P.S. If you would like a custom ashtray, the general pricing for just color and glitter in my medium to small molds would be $12 locally in Vegas, and $4.25 extra if I am shipping it to you. This would be $3 extra if I am using a larger mold, since it takes more resin to make. The general pricing for color, glitter, and flowers or a picture or whatever else you want me to put in it would be $15 locally in Vegas, and $4.25 extra if I am shipping it to you. If you would like me to add a magnet in the bottom or the sides, that would be $5 extra. If you wanted something that had more stuff than this, the pricing varies.

    1. Thank you so much! I agree, and I think that it is a really unique idea. I would love to do this to almost all of the paintings I make, because it is simple and looks really good. Thank you for commenting!
