Resin Pictures! – Pink Body with Rose Petals

    Hello! I haven’t done a whole lot of resin posting lately, but it is going to pick back up again very soon! This is a custom order I got a while ago, and I am just now getting around to posting it.      This is a piece that I made in my body mold, with magenta resin colored with pigment. I also added a lot of pink and white rose petals because I knew this person wanted this piece to be very feminine. I really like how this turned out, and I think it turned out a lot nicer than the first resin body I made.

     I realized that the best way for me to color and put things into resin is to prepare everything first so I do not have to crush rose petals or measure out pigment in the middle of pouring the resin. I crushed up all of the rose petals that I was going to use into a little bowl, and then added the pigment that I wanted.

     Since the first resin body I made, I have learned a lot about how to get bubbles out of resin before you pour it. I went through a lot of trial and error, and had to throw away a few molds because I did not know exactly what I was doing yet. The first resin body that I made had a ton of bubbles in it, and this one has a lot less.

     Not all of the bubbles are gone, but the quality of the piece is much higher than the first one. I am excited to finally get a pressure pot in the future so that there are no bubbles in the resin at all, but for now, I think I have a pretty good method down.

     I have stored a lot of dried petals and flowers to use in resin, but since I have used a lot of them in this small piece, I think that I will have to go flower hunting again and then go through the long process of drying them yet again. I love having things prepared and ready for me when I want to do something.     This is not for sale, since it was a custom, but if you do want one similar to this, please leave a comment or send me a message. I would love to make another one of these in another style for you! One like this would be $10 if you are local since it has a lot of rose petals inside of it, and would be $4.25 extra if I have to ship it to you. If you wanted one without rose petals, it would only be $7, and another $4.25 extra if I have to ship it to you.

    P.S. If you would like a custom ashtray, the general pricing for just color and glitter in my medium to small molds would be $12 locally in Vegas, and $4.25 extra if I am shipping it to you. This would be $3 extra if I am using a larger mold, since it takes more resin to make. The general pricing for color, glitter, and flowers or a picture or whatever else you want me to put in it would be $15 locally in Vegas, and $4.25 if I am shipping it to you. If you would like me to add a magnet in the bottom or the sides, that would be $5 extra. If you wanted something that had more stuff than this, the pricing varies.
