Hello! This is actually yet another new kind of post. I recently realized that a lot of the posts that I made in the very beginning of my blog will never be seen as much compared to the new posts that I am making now. I do not really like this, since I already put so much time and effort into those posts. So, I decided that I would select blog posts to be eventually reposted.
However, these posts will not just simply be reposted. They will be updated, edited, made better, and pictures will be added. Since I will be making all of these posts so much better than they already were, I will add a “2.0” at the end of each title, so everyone will know that it is an upgraded, new kind of post.
This post is the first one of those. I wrote this post in the very beginning of my blogging journey, and it was not a very great post at the time. This post was uploaded on December 9th, 2020, and was the first post about my van that I had ever made. This was a turning point in my blog, because after this I could finally post more information about my van. I had wanted to uplaod this post first, to introduce the concept of a van to the audience that I had at the time.
If you would like to read the original version of this blog post, you can find it at this link: Why I Want to Live in a Van
To start us off, there are many reasons why I want to live in a van. I will be discussing all of those such as music festivals, travelling, working on the road, and more! I really hope you guys enjoy this new and improved post from almost 6 months ago! I’m going to try my best to make it as good as possible.
The first and most important reason I want to live in a van is to visit concerts and festivals of all kinds. Music has been a really important part of my life, especially during the past four years. I just started going to music festivals and concerts a few years ago, right before the pandemic happened.

Music festivals and concerts were the light of my life at the time. They are where I feel most at home and I feel so good when I am there. I want to base my entire life for the next few years around travelling to different festivals and concerts and seeing the country.
Eventually, I do want to branch out to seeing festivals in other countries, but I think that is not going to come very soon. I have a lot of business to get done in the United States before I set my sights that high. I love both music and travelling to new places to learn more things, so this seems like my best option.

I had previously seen a lot of people living in vans that also went to music festivals, including people who actually took their vans to the festivals to camp. I thought this was the coolest thing ever when I first saw it. Now, that super cool thing is something that I am actually working towards!
Another big reason I want to live in a van is to save money. I plan on paying off most of my van as soon as I buy it, so I will not have to pay those payments for long. I will be paying insurance, but I would be paying this anyways with any vehicle. I do know that I will have a big expense in gas, food, and other utilities like electricity, but this is nothing compared to a morgatge payment every month on top of higher utility costs.
Eventually, I would like to save up enough money to buy a house while actually living in my van, and then renting it out until I am ready to move into it. I would hope that the rent would cover the morgatge payment and maybe even some of the utilities, and it would be a free house during the time I was living in my van.

I also think that my van will be a nice source of income to have while doing this, because I will be making videos and posts everywhere I go and I would not be able to do this without my van. I hope to gain a big enough following on my YouTube channel before I start travelling so I can start making money as soon as I get onto the road.
The last reason that I really want to live in a van is for learning to live both minimally and alone. I have always had a cluttered room. I have always lived around both of my parents, for my entire 18 years of existence. I think that both of these things will need to change at some point in my life, so I would like to start learning now.
I know that I have a lot of attachments to material things in my life, and I would like to start to cut down on that. I do not want to move sometime in the future and bring with me a ton of stuff that doesn’t really technically matter. Another thing that I think about is being bogged down by all of these things.

During the beginning of quarantine, I got rid of over half of my belongings, most of which were books. (BTW I am selling those books on my Depop at this link: My Depop!) I have realized that I cannot even remember a single thing that I got rid of. Not a single thing.
This really makes me wonder how many things I really need. I know that out of all of those things I got rid of, I did not use nor need any of them. I have never read a book twice, so it made sense to get rid of most of my books, except the ones that I love the most.
Another thing that I think about a lot is how devastated I would be if my house burnt down. I do not want my whole life to be based on how much these material things matter to me. I do not want to lose my entire life in a fire or a flood. I want my life to be within myself, within memories, within things I have stored safely on the internet like pictures.
Right now, my house burning down is one of my biggest fears, and a lot of that fear has to do with losing material things. I know that I would also be devastated if my house burnt down because it is my house, where I live, and where I grew up, but I do not want the added anxiety surrounding losing things.
Living in a van will basically force me to live minimally due to the very limited storage space. I will have less than one room to live in, and do everything that I would do in a normal house. This will defintiely help me cut down on all of the stuff that I have.
This will also force me to live away from my parents. My plans already include to travel the country, and they will probably not be doing that. I think that it will be good for me and my own personal growth to spend some time away from them, but I will also always be visiting them in between my travels.
All of these things are more than enough to convince me that living in a van is the correct option for me, at least for a few years. These things are all really important to me and I think that these will help me live my life the exact way that I want to for a while.
Thank you all for reading my blog post and supporting my journey! I appreciate all the support I get and I hope that you enjoyed this new and improved blog post! I think I will be making one of these for every 10 new followers that I get!
