Update on Life!

Hello! I know I’ve been gone for a long time, but a lot has been going on and I think I’m finally ready to start actually posting again even though my schedule is still really busy. I wanted to make this post first to tell you guys why I’ve been gone, what I’ve been up to, and what my plans for the future of my life and this blog are.

The main reason why I’ve been gone is my lack of motivation. I do think I have been experiencing some kind of burnout, which scares me a little, but I know it’ll pass eventually. I have tried to force myself to do art and write blog posts during this time, but that did not work out very well, clearly.

I’ve only really experienced this once before, during quarantine, when I was packing my days with productive things and not giving myself any time off. Even though I enjoyed doing most of these things, they still took energy and were not time to myself. During that time, for about a week, I did not want to do anything but lay in bed and watch videos.

So, I did just that, and my motivation came back pretty quickly, and then I learned how to take breaks. However, now that I am trying to run a blog, make and sell art, go to college, make money to buy a van, organizing, cleaning and trying to get my life together, I kind of forgot how to take breaks.

I forgot how to make a schedule, make time for myself, and plan out my days and weeks. I forgot that burnout was a thing, and that it had happened to me before. Also, when the burnout happened, I forgot how to make it go away. I continued to try and do things that were productive and futher draining, and I prolonged my burnout.

But, I slowly started to remember how to fix this, so I have been working on that, and now I feel my motivation finally coming back after all these weeks. I’m honestly really excited to get back into writing posts and making things, because it is what I really do care about.

So, what was I up to while I wasn’t posting? Well, for starters, I started college at the end of August so I’ve had to adjust to that workload as well as trying to keep my life together and get it back on track. I have also been trying to organize my things, and the house more with my family. I also clean the house once every two weeks, so that takes up more of my time.

I have made a couple of things, art-wise, while I was gone, but I am sure you guys will be seeing those soon ;). Just as I am writing this, I am finishing up a resin piece to give to my gramma for her friend’s birthday. I still have a lot of cool ideas that I want to make happen, as you guys know.

So, now onto what my goals for the future are. I really want to keep posting on this blog for years to come, at least that’s the plan currently. I do really want to make supplemental income eventually from writing and posting blogs, but I know that is pretty far away, even when I do start posting consistently again. I would also really like to start making and posting YouTube videos soon, and I also hope that will be some supplemental income eventually.

Sometime in the very near future, I am going to finally buy my van. The only reason I do not have one right now is that since I started looking, which was before quaratine, vans were much cheaper than they are now. I think the main reason for the increase in price is since people were all cooped up in their homes during quarantine, they just want to get out and explore the world.

In my opinion, the best way to explore the world is in a van. You can basically take your house anywhere you want, and I think a lot of other people also realized that over quarantine. I’ve seen such a growth in the vanlife community online and in social media, that I know this is why the price of vans has gone up.

I still am determined to get a van very soon. I am prepared for when I get one, and I am looking for one online a few times a week. I also want to go around town to different places I know vans are and ask around to see if I can get a commercial van cheaper than something that a used car dealership would have.

Over the next couple of years, I would also like to finish getting my degree, and eventually start my own businesses. I want to start a few different businesses and also sell art and travel in my van at the same time, or at least right after I move out of my van.

I’m really excited for the future of my life, both short term and long term. I’m excited to continue the life of this blog, and start posting consistently again. I really hope to post at least once a week on here, maybe more, but we will see how that goes.

Thank you all so much for reading my blog post, and sticking with me through this journey of over a year of having this blog. I really hope that I can deliver interesting content that you all can enjoy! See you guys next time!
