Getting Back into Resin!

Hello! This is an update kind of post about where I am with making resin art. I have not made anything out of resin in a while, due to not having any for a while, losing motivation, being distracted with other things, and not wanting to clean up all of my supplies. Now, I am going to change that this week.

When I first started doing resin art, I was doing some almost every day for weeks. This turned out to be very difficult to keep up once I lost motivation, which was inevitable since I was doing so much in such a short period of time. I also have this habit where I start something, start something else, start something else, and never finish anything.

This is a habit that I am working to change. I would really love to get back into resin art, because it is a lot of fun and I think it is a good medium to really let my creativity flow. I have also realized that once you do something for a while and then all of a sudden stop, it is very difficult for me to get back into it.

I do not know why this is, but it is. This is really unfortunate because I know that I could have had made a lot of things and sales in the meantime while I have not been making resin, but I have been procrastinating. I am fully determined to start making resin art again in this upcoming week.

It also really sucks that I did have a custom order from a family member right as I lost my motivation. However, they understand how it is, and how I am, so they are not mad at me. This is the first thing I will get done involving resin, and then I have another custom order to make, which I am very excited about.

As of writing this, I am in the process of finally cleaning my resin area. I did get some resin on the counter, which seemed impossible to get off until my dad found a resin cleaner. Right now, I have put the cleaner on the resin, but it does work overnight, so I will update on that soon.

Update: the resin cleaner did work, but this is a few months in the future, and the tin that the cleaner was inside of got punctured somehow and all of the cleaner evaporated, so I did not get to use any more. I do want to buy more because I do have a lot more things to clean up, though!

My dad also made me a board for my resin area, so I do not get any more resin on the counter. I will be putting this on the counter after I clean it, and I will include a picture of that. I am really excited to have this new working area, because it is bigger, nicer, and more flat than the regular counter.

As soon as I can get these things done, I will be making the resin things that I mentioned, and then after that, I will be making some other things that I have planned a while ago. I got a few more new molds since losing motivation, so I am now excited to use those molds and make some super creative, cool things with them.

Update: I did recently make these bright pink magnetic flowers for my grandmother, and she loved them. I realize that doing resin is not that difficult and I do want to get back into it once I have my life a little more together than I have it right now.

Very soon, I will be creating a blog page with all of my available resin molds, and I will be eventually adding all of them to my Depop and my Etsy in the future. Customs are open right now, so if you would like any customs of any resin that I have put up on my blog so far, please leave a comment or send me a message so we can talk about it!

I would really love to get started in making resin stuff again with some super cool customs, so if you have any ideas or want something, please let me know! I love making things for you guys and I love being creative with all of it! I’m really excited to get back into making resin stuff.

Thank you all so much for reading my blog post and supporting my journey! I really appreciate every single one of you sticking with me through this journey and time in my life. My blog is growing, and I am trying to put a lot more time and effort into all of my posts, including this one. If you have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments!

P.S. If you guys would like to look at my art or buy any of it, you can look at it at this link: Buy Resin! and you can buy it through this link: My Depop! I still have yet to upload a lot of stuff, so be patient with looking at stuff, or if there is something specific that you would like to buy, please send me a message. Also, if you are a local to Las Vegas, please send me a message before buying anything so I can take shipping off of your purchase, since I will just deliver it to you myself.

    1. Thank you so much! I’m glad I’m getting back into it too, it’s a start to get back into all the other things that I also lost motivation for. Maybe if you wanted to do some resin with me, you could come over and we could do some together! Thank you so much for commenting!

    1. Thank you so much! I definitely have to make more of those because I really enjoy the resin ones, and they don’t take a super long time! I’m excited to finish up old things and start new things in the future! Thank you for commenting!
