Vambulance Update

Hello hello, this is another short update post on what is going on with the ambulance. We did get it back from the mecahnic, but we have been pretty busy with other things and have not done anything else to it.

We will get back into it soon, so there will be more in depth updates soon. For now, I will be talking about some other things that do not really matter, but please, read on if you are interested.

First, I want to talk about something my dad and I realized that we have to do before we paint it. If you have seen the inside of the ambulance in other posts, you will know that there are a lot of compartments that you can access from the inside and/or outside. We are planning on getting rid of at least one of these compartments so we can fit the bed in the back comfortably.

Here is a very cool example of a fixed bed in the back. I don’t think my ambulance will look very similar to this, but the concept will be the same.

However, since we want to remove a whole compartment that is built into the ambulance, this means that we will have to remove it, weld the hole shut, and then we can paint it. This adds a whole new layer that we have to do before we paint it. This is a little sad, since painting it isn’t even that far into the process and we have to keep pushing it back, but I am very glad that we are getting everything done the right way.

Now I want to talk about a really funny thing that I want to have in my van. This is one of those singing fish. I want one so bad, and I think it would be so funny to have my nice van, and then on the very nice inside you see a fish hanging on the wall that can also sing.

Here is a picture of what I am talking about:

The first time I was ever introduced to one of these was in elementary school. Our PE teacher had one on the wall and he would make it sing sometimes. He was the best PE teacher and we did so much fun stuff with him. I really miss being in elementary school honestly.

I have also very recently found a YouTube channel where a guy takes a bunch of these singing fish, along with other moving things, and programs them to sing along to any song. I will link one of my favorites here if you want to check it out.

Well, that is the whole update I have for you guys this week. I do hope that I will be able to share new things with you next week, since I do plan on working on the ambulance with my dad this upcoming weekend. I’m so grateful to even have a van, I’m very willing to do all of the work necessary to get it to where I want it to be.

Thank you all so much for reading my blog post and supporting my journey! I appreciate all of you for sticking with me for so long! If you would like to read some more stuff that I have recently put out, here are some links to some Music Tuesday posts that I worked very hard on!

  1. There is sure a lot of work ahead for you with that vam. I wish you the best!
I sent one of those singing fish to my brother in Oklahoma once… he’s an avid fisherman. It was hilarious!

    1. Thank you! There really is so much work still to do with the van, but I am looking forward to it being done and completing things so I can finally go on trips with it. That is so funny! My elementary school PE tacher had one and it was really funny as well. I really want one, but there are a lot of styles to choose from, so I’m not sure which one I want yet. Thank you for commenting!
