Hello! I know I haven’t been consistently posting, and that is because I recently got sick, and so did my parents. I took my time to recover, and I still do not feel 100% yet. I do really enjoy writing these posts, so I did want to get back into it. I know that this Music Tuesday post is not coming out on a Tuesday, but I wanted to get it out no matter what.
I also wanted to quickly warn/tell you guys that I will be posting a bunch of posts this week to catch up with the posts that I didn’t upload. I will most likely be posting every day until Monday. The plan right now is to make this post on Wednesday, an Art 101 post Thursday, another Art 101 post Friday (this one is normally on Friday), another Art 101 post on Saturday, and then maybe a life update on Sunday.
I really like creators who try and keep their audience as in the loop as possible, so I really wanted to make sure all of you know what’s going on with me. I know it’s not the most interesting thing, but I also do not want to keep you guys in the dark.
So, now onto the post. This is a Music Tuesday post where I am going to be talking about the music I’ve been listening to recently. It isn’t really a review of the music, but just an opinion, how I felt listening to it, why I wanted to listen to it, and just some general info about me.
This week, the bands/artists that I wanted to talk about are Electric Callboy, Prince, and Sleeping with Sirens. I will also put them in order of most listened to to least listened to just for fun: Sleeping with Sirens, Electric Callboy, and Prince.
Sleeping with Sirens –

I have liked this band a lot for a long time. They headlined at the last concert I went to before the pandemic. I recently started listening again to some of my older playlists, and a couple of their songs were on there, including Better Off Dead, Kick Me, and If You Can’t Hang. I love all 3 of these songs and I really want to listen to more of their music again.
Their music really reminds me of my high school experience, which isn’t always a good thing, but I still really like the music anyways. I knew a lot of the emo kids would listen to them, so that made me not really want to listen to them, but when I did I really loved them.
I would really love to see them again in concert sometime, but I’m not sure if that will happen or not. I do think that this might be a band that I eventually grow out of, but I’m not sure when that will happen. I really like their music right now, so I don’t think it will be any time soon.
Electric Callboy –

I was introduced to this band by a really good friend of mine, and I’m so glad they did. I love their style, and it’s different than anything I’ve ever listened to before. They are a bit of a pop/metal band. They have songs that will start out with a pop part, and then it’ll turn into metal and it’s really fun.
They have really funny music videos, and I want to encourage you to go check them out on YouTube if you haven’t heard of them. They don’t take themselves very seriously, which I think really adds to the music.
I’m also going to see them in October with the same friend who introduced me to them. We are going for his birthday, and I am so excited. I’ve seen videos and clips of their concerts online and it always looks like so much fun and I just cannot wait.
I do think that I will be listening to them for a long time, especially since they do have a new album coming out soon. I might make another post about their new album, but I’m not entirely sure about that yet. I don’t want to commit myself to too many things again and get burnt out.
Prince –

My mom listens to a lot of Prince, and I wanted to get more familiar with his songs, so I decided that I was going to listen to them. While I was listening to the songs on Spotify, I realized that I already knew a lot of them, mostly because my mom plays the songs so often.
It’s definitely not the music that I usually listen to, but there wasn’t any songs that I disliked. I think it’s good music, and I think I’d like to listen to it in the future. Additionally, since my mom loves him so much, it makes me feel a little bit closer to her when I listen and recognize the music.
I really want to do this with other music that I know my close family likes, it really does make me feel closer to them and like I can know them a little bit better. I think the music someone listens to says a lot about them and their personality.
That’s all the music I have to talk about this week! Next week’s Music Tuesday will be a little different though, so stay tuned for that. I am going to try my best to be consistent again and not get sick anymore haha. I really hate being sick, like everyone else.
Thank you all so much for reading my blog post and supporting my journey! I really appreciate every single one of you who has stuck around this long and still reads my posts. If you wanted to, it would also really help if you wanted to share my blog with anyone you think would enjoy it! I’ll see you guys in the next one!
Let me know your thoughts in the comments about these bands, if you’ve ever heard of them, if you’ve never heard of them, if you hate them, if you love them, anything! I love reading your comments, and I try to respond to every one of them!

Sorry to hear you’ve been sick, and hope you’re feeling ok now. I enjoy the way you talk about the bands, because you seem to enjoy them so much. Keep up the good work!

I haven’t listened to any of those bands… I’m kinda stuck on my old Playlist. I should try listening to something new.

Thank you! Yeah, the first two I mentioned aren’t super mainstream, so I wouldn’t really expect many people to have listened to them! I have the same problem honestly, which is why I am trying to listen to more different kinds of music now and expand my taste. Thank you for commenting!
